The Green Mountain National Forest and surrounding areas offer a wide range of unpaved terrain--single track, old logging roads, dirt roads, abandoned ancient town byways, and mixed-use trails. In general, the mountain biking available would be described as beginner to intermediate-level rather than for advanced, technical riding. The heart of our territory, a region known as Moosalamoo, has been named a National Recreation Area. You can choose to spend your entire Vermont vacation on the dirt, or combine mountain biking with road riding.

Accommodations at unique country inns, including multi-course candlelit dinners and full hearty breakfasts, round out the package. Occasionally, accommodations are at cozy bed & breakfasts, giving you the opportunity to dine at whim in local restaurants. Arrive at Churchill House Inn in Brandon where you will receive a personal review of your trip. Additional nights may be spent at Fox Creek Inn, Blueberry Hill Inn, and Mountain View Inn. The actual inns in your itinerary will depend on the distance you wish to ride each day, the starting date, and the availability at the inns.

DUE TO A SIGNIFICANT FLOOD LATE IN 2008, WE REGRET THAT CURRENT NATIONAL FOREST TRAIL CONDITIONS DO NOT PERMIT OUR OFFERING ANY DOOR-TO-DOOR MOUNTAIN BIKING IN 2009 or 2010. TRAILS WERE SURVEYED IN 2009 AND WILL BE REHABILITATED IN 2010. BOTH HIKING AND ROAD BIKING TRIPS ARE OFFERED IN 2010, AND WE HOPE TO HAVE MOUNTAIN BIKING TRIPS AVAILABLE AGAIN BEGINNING IN 2011.

2011 COST: Package prices vary depending on the inn and season. Summer rates are generally $145-$180 ppdo.
