Ski - The "Touring" Cat
Our more popular winter itinerary, this is a modification of our original Catamount Excursion, emphasizing the use of well-marked and groomed touring center trails of varying levels of difficulty spiced with optional moderate backcountry skiing chosen for truly scenic and peaceful settings.
The Touring Cat starts with a gourmet dinner at Blueberry Hill Inn on your first night. Enjoy some of Blueberry Hill's 75 km trail system after a wonderful breakfast the next morning. The ski center will have hot soup and cookies for you to augment your midday skier's lunch. Settle in by the fire for a second night at the inn. On your next day, you may ski more of Blueberry Hill's extensive trails or request a car shuttle from your next inn to facilitate a door-to-door 9 mile ski between Blueberry Hill and Churchill House Inn, past pristine and secluded Silver Lake (trail conditions permitting). Enjoy four country courses at dinner at the Churchill House and again mingle with fellow guests fireside on the third night of your excursion. The next day after a hearty breakfast, ski Brandon's local "secret," or head to Chittenden and your fourth night at Fox Creek Inn. Fox Creek offers a beautiful scenic loop around Chittenden Reservoir and ski passes at the 60 km Mountain Top Ski Touring Center, where President Eisenhower was a guest.
The Touring Cat is offered in January and February only.
