Ski - The "Wild" Cat
Our original skiing vacation is for hale and hardy purists, and will challenge and reward you with spruce and birch forests, mountain brooks, panoramic vistas, beaver ponds, and secluded lakes. The Catamount Trail, which runs the length of Vermont's Green Mountains, offers the avid skier excellent terrain for a unique inn to inn skiing experience. Our Wild Cat is self-guided and is suggested for experienced skiers. Each day skiers enjoy 8 to 11 miles of rigorous skiing, sometimes breaking new trail, always making new memories.
The Wild Cat starts with a gourmet dinner at Blueberry Hill Inn the first night - noodle around the trails a bit before dinner if you wish. After breakfast the next morning, we'll shuttle you to Widow's Clearing or Bread Loaf (your choice), and you will ski the Catamount back to Blueberry Hill, where you'll again spend a fine evening. The next day, we'll shuttle you for a door-to-door 9 mile ski on a side trail down to a Vermont classic, Churchill House Inn, and another four-course dinner. Your final leg is the challenging Puss and Kill segment of the Catamount from Brandon Gap to Mountain Top Chittenden, where we'll have stowed your car while you're on the trail. Settle in for dinner and a deserved rest at wonderful Fox Creek Inn and end your tour after breakfast with optional skiing at Mountain Top Touring Center.
The Wild Cat is offered in January and February only.
